The SAC Committee is seeking a parent to serve in the capacity of Parent Representative on the LECS Board. If you are interested in the position, please submit a resume and a cover letter that includes the reason why you wish to serve and what qualities you would bring to the Board. That information should be submitted by close of business on May 22nd to Cate Goodsell, SAC Secretary, cgood44@gmail.com . Candidate must be available for an interview at an upcoming SAC meeting if required.
The LECS Board meets bi-monthly starting in August at 5:30 pm on the third Wednesday in either the school’s curriculum library or virtually. In order to serve on the Board you must complete a finger print background check, complete four hours of on-line training, sign a confidentiality agreement, and make an annual contribution equal to a similar contribution you would make to another non-profit. The responsibilities of a Board member are to support the school’s mission, develop and approve policy as needed, oversee personnel issues and insure the financial stability of the school by reviewing the monthly financials. The appointment is for one year and the SAC Parent Representative may only serve while a child is enrolled in LECS.
